The Project

  • Mechanical Noise Control
  • Vibration Control

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is the state’s only comprehensive academic health sciences center, including a 700-bed hospital and six colleges for the education of a broad range of health professionals, biomedical scientists and other health related personnel. The three-story, 84,000 sq. ft. advanced integrated specialty clinic in Mt. Pleasant is one of MUSC’s newest facilities.

Our Role

BRC provided design for sound isolation/speech privacy, reverberant sound control, mechanical noise control, and vibration isolation. Noise control and vibration isolation of the MRI suite was of great importance to the MUSC staff and a major focus of our design work.
