The Project

  • Architectural Acoustics
  • Mechanical Noise Control
  • Audiovisual Systems Design

Completed at a total construction cost of $43 million in 2007, this 113,000 sq. ft. high school with an approximate enrollment of 900 students serves the city of Kingston, WA and the surrounding area in the North Kitsap School District.

Our Role

BRC provided design for noise and vibration isolation of mechanical equipment; specified room shaping and acoustical treatments for the classroom areas, commons, music rooms, library, labs, and gymnasium for noise and reverberation control. BRC also provided design for sound reinforcement, AV, and multimedia systems. Variable acoustics design was incorporated into the cafeteria/performance space to accommodate the varying acoustical requirements for high-activity lunch periods and musical performances.
